About geoscience

For this brand film for Geoscience, Ryan Luciani of GoodFriend joined the All Day Breakfast team as second DP and drone operator on a weeklong shoot that stretched from Las Vegas through the Mojave Desert and into Los Angeles. Created as a homepage-driven introduction to the company, the piece captures both the scale of the landscapes and the real-world water challenges Geoscience works to solve through groundwater modeling, basin management, well design, and other long-range water infrastructure solutions. Along the way, we filmed interviews with a wide range of voices connected to the work and captured sweeping drone footage of desert, coastline, and developed land to help frame the size and seriousness of the environments involved. The aerials, especially over the driest regions, were meant to emphasize the vastness of the terrain and the urgency behind building smarter, more sustainable groundwater systems. It was part brand video, part field journey, and very much an adventure.
